a while back, i had the pleasure of photographing celebrity fashion stylist colin megaro at sielian’s on melrose avenue. colin is a purveyor of fashion and stylist to celebrities all over the united states and the world. inspired by such designers as gucci, armani, carolina herrera, ports 1961, tom ford and dior, colin is passionate about making people look (and feel) fabulous and he has a knack for doing just that. when i asked him what he loves most about his work, he said, “i love everything to tell you the truth. if i had to pick one thing, it would be the clothes/accessories. there is nothing like a beautiful piece and seeing it on someone! i LOVE when someone lights-up because they look amazing.” colin offers services such as style analyses, personal wardrobe consultations and shopping tours, styling for men and personal shopping as well as special tutorials like “shopping made easy and “accessorizing 101”.

when colin asked me to photograph him for his new press materials, i was thrilled and happily obliged especially when i heard the words vintage boutique, melorose, and wardrobe stylist come out of his mouth. i knew i was in for a treat. the whole shoot was utter perfection and quite a blast. since he wanted a series inside Sielian’s i rented me a profoto lighting set-up (which i had never used in my life) and rocked it out with a groovy ring flash (with which i’m now smitten). i need to get me one of those. so. much. fun. to make things even better, colin brought his friend and fellow stylist, warren baker, along to help with the styling. warren ensured the colin’s clothes looked fabulous the whole time and was a huge help in making the shoot go smoothly. and now i’m officially addicted to working with wardrobe stylists. ser. i need me one of those on every shoot thankyouverymuch.

wardrobe styling: colin megarowarren baker.
hair: daRico jackson.
location: sielian’s.
lighting: natural + profoto ring flash.
