i’ve noticed a pattern. every time autumn rolls around, i get in that “spring-cleaning” mode. only it’s not in the spring. but in the fall as it were. strange i know. but i can’t wait till spring to refresh and update various aspects of my business and life. so three-quarters of the way through the year, i take a good, hard look at my life and prune and purge what is dead or unnecessary, reorganize the clutter, add a fresh coat of paint and put a pumpkin in the porch. it’s quite fun. and exhausting. but totally necessary in order that i survive the winter.

maybe–just maybe–i get a little carried away with the cleaning. i get all sorts of bree van de camp on it and start tearing down the wallpaper (yay for you if you get the reference. don’t judge. ha). projects are fun and energizing and get my creative juices flowing again. and of course, there is always something or someone who spurs each project on. you know, someone to blame it on. in this case, i blame tofurious and showit. from tofurious, i got me this sweet new wordpress blog template that i am just loving. (and i hope you are too). showit however is the rather dangerous project-impetus. they are all sorts of cool and clever with their new releases and updates. and since i’m part of the inner cricle of sherpas, i get to try the new features pre-release. and well, i always go wild over them and they spur-on one of said projects. bad for my sleeping patterns. good for my brand.

so alas, i give to you the newly modernized jshipleyphotography.com. you will notice a fresh, updated look and feel, brand-new scrolling galleries with tons of new images, new wedding slideshows plus a spiffy new comment feature where you can chime-in via facebook.  if you’re so compelled, head on over, take a gander at the new images, and leave some comment-love.
