she had dreamt about this day for years. she had planned for this day for months. and when this day finally arrived–when she climbed into her beautiful gown, when she saw her groom waiting for her at the end of the aisle, when she spun around the dance floor in her beloved’s arms–she knew it was well worth the wait and hours of planning. it was no longer about the details, it was about her marrying the man with whom she had fallen in love and about celebrating her nuptials with her nearest and dearest. she couldn’t have been more content, more pleased, more beautiful, more in love. this was her day. one she would share with her love and one she would never forget.

that day was simply gorgeous, and its events were seamlessly stitched together to create wedding day that was unique to who they were. it was a beautiful reflection of their relationship, their commitment to each other and their fun and out-going spirits. tim and lisa are the type of couple people can’t help but love and adore. they are smitten with each other and have learned how to love each other well, with purpose and intention. it’s a beautiful thing i tell ya and i’m so blessed to have had the honour of telling the story of their day. with out further ado, i give you lisa + tim’s wedding editorial. you can view the rest of the story at their wedding website here.

to start the day off, i meet up with the ladies at the beach house in marina del rey where they were getting all dolled up for lisa’s big day. one of the perks was that my good friend and past bride courtney was among the bridesmaids which made for some added fun. and lots of laughs.

lisa’s nina heels. on the mirror i fought over with the hair stylist. haha. actually she played nice and shared.

the beautiful bride.

lisa was stunning in her Lili Bridal gown.

the fabulous bridemaids climbed the hill in heels all for me. i told them is was worth it. was i right?

such a soft and subtle color palette. love.

i had the pleasure of spending part of courtney’s wedding day last fall with lisa since she was a bridesmaid. and well THIS spunk came out then and now. but i had to wait a whole year to see it again. and then–BAM–lisa brought the sass and spunk i had come to love everso much.

and the beautiful bridal bouquet by Flower Power LA

whilst i was photographing the ladies, my buddy and awesome photographer matt chenot hung out with the boys as they readied themselves. and then i met up with them for some fun grooms-people shots around the church.

when i first arrived on the church campus, i noticed that the lower parking lot was totally empty. so i secretly schemed an epic shot what would require my ascent up the hillside and that tim humor me and my creative crazy. he happily obliged and this resulted. and it may be my favorite groom shot this year. yes please.

the bling.

i love the splendor of bel air presbyterian, and it made for a beautiful venue for lisa + tim’s nuptials

and now, portraits of the bride and groom…my favorite part of the day.

the reception was held at the amazing penthouse ballroom at the sheraton delfina and they banquet staff made sure everyone was well taken care of. it was fabulous and everyone had quite the time celebrating lisa and tim.

lisa + tim, thank you. for being you. and for allowing me to this part of your story. blessings. – j.
