Jessi + J.J.’s Ojai wedding was one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve photographed thus far. Jessi crafted a wedding that was relaxed, inviting, bright, elegant and downright fun and Isaac and I had the pleasure of documenting it all. The event took place at J.J.’s father’s home in Ojai and the property was simply stunning and perfectly manicured and provided a perfect backdrop for all the festivities. The bridal party was fantastic and full of energy and laughter and never ceased to have a good time and to offer support and encouragement to the bride and groom. There were awesome times one hundred And then some. Jessi + J.J. are made for each other. The balance each other out in a way that’s necessary and good. And they have an relaxed yet adventurous spirit about them and you can’t help but feel content and calmed when you’re around them. So THAT my friends was an awesome feeling to have in the midst of the busyness of a wedding day. And so, I give you Jessi + J.J.’s Wedding Editorial….the complete editroial from Jessi + J.J.’s wedding, visit their wedding photography website here.

When we first arrived at the property, we were awestuck. It was gorgeous. The entire house was surrounded by beautiful landscaping and the minute we walked through the gate, we found ourselves wandering about, exploring every nook and cranny, scheming up ideas for awesome photo-ness. As we wandered around, Emily (one of Jessi’s awesome bridesmaids) excitedly came out and greeted us and then ushered us into to see the bride. We knew it was going to be a good day, a very good day. And then we saw the her Badgley Mischka shoes, and it got even better. Oh my.

Jessi, you are absolutely stunning!

this is the part where i asked them to share the funniest memories the had with jessi. CLASSIC!

While I got a few shots of the bride, Isaac got this AWESOME and fun series of the ladies. Hilarious!

Isaac’s pre-visualized and beautifully executed shot. Love.

One of my favorite bouquet shots ever…

After we finished up with the bride, I headed upstairs to hang out with J.J….and I’d never seen this tie shot before, but as I was quickly grabbing a few shots of the groom’s get-up, I wanted to find a cool way to photograph the tie. So I coiled it up real quick and bam, a fun new way to photograph ties that adds depth and dimension and is way cooler than the lay-it-on-the-jacket shot.

I’d envisioned this shot from when we first got there, and I love how it turned out. Bam. It sprinkled for just a bit and then turned out to be a glorious day.

Some of the cool details from the day a-la Isaac James.

The ceremony…

My favorite first kiss shot of the season.

My favorite part of the day, couple portraits and to make it all ever better, there were giant agave plants out front!!!! Yipee. And so naturally, we had to do a few portraits in front of them.

I loved the dark purple plum trees. It created such a neat effect.

We wanted to get a few shots underneath the groovy palapa

Party time…

The Seasons Catering food was delicious. Trust me.

I love the fun modern take the cake topper. And that cake?! Simple and chic!

The first dance. Awesome.

How fun is this?! We loved these ladies. They were a blast to spend the day with.

I always love the parent dances. They are so emotional. Sigh.

Heartfelt and hilarious toasts.

And then quite a fun, energetic and downright epic dance party.

One of our favorite images from the day and an all time coolest dance shots. Bam!
