She’s quite popular. Letmetellyou! and I only got to hold her for a few minutes over the past few days before I’d have to hand her off to a nurse or another visitor or her mama. But yesterday, I finally got some quality time with my sweet niecey. And I loved every minute of it. She was a bit fussy when I got her but I calmed her down. I’m a natural. What can I say? And she loves her uncle. Duh. We made faces at each other, and I tickled her forehead, and she held my hand through her lil’ mitten-shirt-thinger which I think makes her tiny’ arms look like lobster claws. She always has them up by her face, and I find it quite hilarious and adorable. After play time, she started to doze off and so I sat down and soaked in that moment and breathed deep. She was finally here and she’s perfect. And my family is ALL about it. It’s been so fun to spend so much time with everyone and to celebrate our newest family member. I’ll never forgot this series of firsts with Trinity…my first photo of her, my first time meeting her, the first time she wrapped her tiny hand around my finger, the first time she fell asleep in my arms, the first time I saw my sister holding her daughter, the first time my mom saw her sweet face, the first time my dad held her in his arms. I’m so pleased to have been here to experience and document her first few days of life. What an honor and joy.

Here’s a photo of the two of us my took dad for me. I will treasure this image forever, and ever.
